Redshadows

Hey All,

My name's Greg and it looks like I'm one of the older ones in the bunch,
most of you are about the age of my kid (22.)

I've been playing video games for awhile (anyone remember Rogue on a Dec Vax?)
As far as MMOs I've played a lot of WoW but wasn't one of those people playing from
beta (though both my boys were.) I'm not even burned out on Wow and strongly disagree
with most of the "WoW sucks" stuff out there.

My other Fav MMO was City of Heroes/Villians. I did just a bit of Guild Wars, but just
couldn't quite get into it. It would have been nice if Age of Conan had worked,
as I love the books, but my machine won't run it and its got a few other issues. Oh well.
Anarchy online was the other MMO I played. Managed to get a Martial Artist to 185,
but got tired of the steady diet of Hecklers.

Aion's a pretty cool game. Gorgeous. I wish I had better hardware, though. Kinda hard doing some things
when the frame-rate drops to 5 fps... Makes PvP less interesting than it could be. Better hardware
maybe soon, I think. Heck, maybe I'll even get a mic since vent seems necessary
(all this new stuff that we old fogies have to deal with...)

My wife and the aforementioned kid also play. My wife hated PvP in WoW (80s ganking lowbies)
but for some reason she loeves it here (maybe she hasn't been ganked enough.) Between the
three of us we have five characters at 25+ and a few in the teens.

Otherwise - We work out of the house, building websites. We're in Spokane, WA after having
escaped the SF Bay Area a few years back.

Well...

The sites I do are for my own use, not something I sell or contract out.
They're pretty basic and what I try to do is get traffic to them in the
hopes that some of that traffic will by something, such as a WoW guide.

One of those sites is Azeroth Cookbook. Another is GotWarcraft, which was
originally designed by my boys, though I've taken it over. the Tauren Chef
is another one that we did (and we may do a cookbook for Aion, at some point.)

Actually, for this site I think a blog would be great as a homepage.
Download it free from Wordpress.org, easy enough to set up, and
it would work as a "what's happening now" thing much better than
a forum would, though a forum is better for discussions.

I could probably help you out with this site, if you want, though I've
never done anything with forum code.
